Ending hunger is one of the greatest challenges of our times.
Who we are and what we do.
Hunger is an uncomfortable or painful physical sensation caused by insufficient consumption of dietary energy. It becomes chronic when the person does not consume a sufficient amount of calories (dietary energy) on a regular basis to lead a normal, active and healthy life. That is why Food of the Poor Nepal with your help is distributing daily fresh meals in Kathmandu.
And that is our mission and vision.
A Non Profit project of Help in Action ONLUS.
We will work to take away the worry about where the next meal will come from. We realise that the lack of food can cause mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, and even post-traumatic stress disorder. Therefore we try to distribute with your help as a donor as much as we can fresh meals.
Distribution of Food, Generosity, Love and Compassion
Practical lessons to school children. The crucial art of learning caring and sharing for children.
It is indeed a fact that children do not understand the concept of sharing. In their own little world, it is all about them, and therefore, they generally do not make it a habit to share or care for others. However, when they grow up into a younger school-going child, they have to learn to share as a part of their social, emotional, and cognitive development. It is important to teach children the value and importance of sharing so that they grow up into balanced adults who enjoy helping and caring others, without discriminating anyone.

Generosity is at the heart of our being and the reason of working in Nepal.

Hunger Discriminates: People living in poverty, young children, women and often disabled people. Nepal has great contrasts, wealth and poverty.
There is a lot of visible and hidden poverty in Kathmandu.
The generosity of sponsors makes it possible to distribute enough meals every day. Many elderly, sick, disabled, children and families who have no other form of support are forced by circumstances to beg and live on the streets. By providing them with home-cooked, life-saving meals every day, we give these people hope for their future and the assurance that they will be taken care of.
A regular, recurring donation helps Food for the Poor Nepal immensely.
10 life-saving meals for 10 people monthly donation €10.00
25 life-saving meals for 25 people monthly donation €25.00
For people living in these desperate circumstances, a hot meal is fundamental.
Sponsorship gives that wonderful feeling of caring and sharing.
