Wise Projects, a non-profit foundation in the Netherlands,
and a private sponsor has created a unique restaurant where authentic food is served with a social mission — supporting the daily preparation and distribution of meals for people in need in Kathmandu.

Persia’s Biryani Restaurant is a restaurant with a purpose.
Visiting us is a unique experience — but above all, it’s about the pleasure of relaxing and enjoying excellent, authentic traditional food in a warm atmosphere. At the same time, your visit supports our Sharing Food project, helping provide daily meals for people in need in Kathmandu.

Food for the Poor Nepal needs ongoing support to keep the daily distributions possible. Every donation helps us serve more meals.
The need is constant, and so is our work. Food for the Poor Nepal depends on ongoing support — please consider donating or sharing our project.

A Restaurant With a Purpose – SHARE FOOD
Persia’s Biryani Restaurant is not a typical restaurant. It was created with a unique mission: to combine authentic food and hospitality with a deep, long-standing commitment to Food for the Poor Nepal.
When you visit, you will feel that this place is not built for profit alone. In many ways, the mission is visible inside the restaurant: the stories, the atmosphere, and the videos from the daily distributions that are shown on the screen. They remind us that behind every meal served here, there is also a wider purpose — sharing food and giving dignity to the most vulnerable people in Kathmandu.
If you are in Kathmandu, we warmly invite you to visit us. We are located in the Kalimpong Complex, just a 10-minute walk from the famous Boudha Stupa.
Every guest who visits the restaurant becomes part of this mission: enjoying delicious food while helping to make the daily distribution of meals possible.

Through our WhatsApp community “Friends of Food for the Poor Nepal,” we share daily updates on the locations where distribution will take place in Kathmandu.
You are very welcome to visit us. You will see real photos and short videos of our daily work, which show the difficult reality that many people face: families living in extreme poverty, people with disabilities, groups of blind and deaf people, and children who often arrive barefoot and wait patiently for a meal.
One of the most difficult aspects of our work is that we cannot always feed everyone who is waiting to eat. Our daily distribution depends on the maximum donations available for that day, and sometimes our food supply is simply not enough. This is a struggle we face regularly — which is why every contribution is important.
